Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Puzzl (puzzl.win) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the app. Puzzl is operated in connection with Pixel Platforms / the Puzzl project (“we”, “us”).

1. Information we collect

  • Account data — email, display name, and password hash (if you use email sign-up), or basic profile info from Google if you sign in with Google (typically name, email, and avatar URL).
  • Gameplay data — rooms you host or join, scores, answers judged on the server, question sets you create, inventory/skins, and coin ledger entries.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, device basics, and cookies/session tokens needed to keep you signed in and secure the API.
  • Guest play — if you join with only a PIN and nickname, we store that nickname and session token for the live room; no full account is required.

2. How we use information

We use data to run accounts and multiplayer rooms, prevent cheating and abuse, award coins and skins, show leaderboards, improve reliability, and comply with law. Server-side scoring exists so clients cannot simply claim points.

3. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:
  • Infrastructure providers (hosting, database) that process data on our behalf.
  • Google, if you choose Google sign-in (their privacy policy applies to that flow).
  • Other players, limited to what the game shows (nickname, score, equipped skin).
  • Authorities when required by law or to protect safety and the service.

4. Cookies and sessions

We use secure session cookies (and, in some embeds, a bearer token) so you stay signed in. These are required for authenticated features, not for third-party advertising networks.

5. Retention

Account and set data are kept while your account is active. Live room data is short-lived. We may delete or anonymize inactive accounts and logs after a reasonable period, or sooner if you request deletion.

6. Children

Puzzl is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). If you believe a child provided personal data, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to remove it.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures (HTTPS, hashed passwords, server-checked game actions). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. Your choices

You may update your display name in Profile, export your own sets, or stop using the service. To request account deletion or a copy of your data, contact us using the email or channel associated with the Puzzl / Pixel Platforms project.

9. International users

Data may be processed in the United States or other countries where our providers operate. By using Puzzl you understand that your information may be transferred to those locations.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy by posting a new version here. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use means you accept the updated Policy.

11. Contact
